Mums really do know best! Susan Stewart her debut dyslexia friendly children’s book The Weekly Experience Extra Bits
Mums really do know best! Hear how Susan Stewart used her own personal circumstances to create a story of hope, in her debut – dyslexia friendly – children’s book; ‘Dog-Lexius: A Tale of Two Friends.’
A desire to write was always within Susan, but it was only after experiencing her own family trials that she was able to access her unique creative flow with a subject that was very close to her heart. Susan shares her own personal journey of discovering dyslexia with her son from the tender age of 5; the time when her initial suspicions arose.
We hear how frustrations propelled her to want to help others and shine the light on the diagnosis process and how as a parent, you can best support your child, whilst not condemning yourself too.
‘Dog-Lexius’ is a dyslexia friendly, fantasy text, about a boy who realizes he has dyslexia and discovers that it’s his superpower!
